Welcome to Hickery Holler

This blog is a collection of recipes by me, also known as the canned quilter. I am the mother of five and the grandmother of three. I live on a farm in Northern Missouri called Hickery Holler with my husband "O Wise One" and my last remaining child at home, 16 year old daughter " Baby O". Born in northern Georgia and growing up in Southern Louisiana many of my recipes are a mixture of both cajun and country cooking. Since we grow our own vegetables there are also many recipes on harvesting and preserving the harvest. Welcome to Hickery Holler and we hope you enjoy your visit.

Only a Southerner Knows:
