Stewed Okra and Tomatoes












In a large skillet saute 1/2 lb chopped bacon or sausage with 1/2 chopped onion. Saute until onion is clear.







Add to skillet a 1 lb bag of frozen sliced okra or fresh sliced okra. Add 1 quart jor or can stewed tomatoes. Season to taste.



Simmer uncovered about 30 minutes or until okra is cooked.



Nothing like stewed okra and tomatoes with a side of corn bread. Enjoy !
